Size 6XI originally brought this to use as a maid costume for a lolita costume event. I got the biggest size 6x as it they run small being made in Asia. I normally wear a 3x/4x. The dress was lose everywhere but the bust. That was too tight. The apron was also too lose. The straps kept falling off my shoulders. I had to pin them in place. I wore the white petticoat underneath hoping to give it that poofy look but the petticoat was too short to be any use. I ended up letting my cousin wear it and it fit her perfectly. She had a hoop skirt and it made it extra poofy. We dressed up as Alice and the Chestershire Cat and went on a haunted village tour. We got a lot of compliments and people asking for pictures. She wore white tights and black Mary Jane shoes and looked like Alice.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.Was this review helpful to you?

I live in Alaska and this was warm enough to not freeze in between the car and house/work. It was super comfortable (to wear for 8 hours at work) and the fabric didn't irritate my sensitive skin at all. I bought the rabbit purse/shoes on Amazon and got tons of compliments for the whole look. It worked out great because one of our teachers dressed as the Red Queen and we had a student dressed as the Mad Hatter and her friend was the Chesire Cat.Was this review helpful to you?

This was my first order off this site. And was the only place that carries my size at a great price. I got the costume today. It only took exactly a week from shipment date. As soon as I got it, I opened it. The package seemed a little crushed, and the dress got wrinkled as a result. But the costume is exactly as described and better. This truly is a lovely costume. Apron runs a little large but that's fine, can easily be fixed. I will definitely order from this site again. As a plus size individual. it can be hard to want to wear dresses because they generally make you look, well, fat. With the apron in place, the dress is just very flattering on a plus size individual. As far as sizing is concerned, it fits well with one exception, the straps on the apron are to long and will have to be cut and resewn - I plan on adding a couple of pockets on the lower part of the apron as well - I like/need pockets. It arrived super fast! This a rare time when the costume actually matched the picture on the site. I love my alice costume. It is very well made.. The only thing I wish it had is pockets on the apron. The dress was very thin and see through. But the apron helped. The aprons sleeves were not proportioned properly. I had to improvise a special way to tie it, as they were extremely long and not where they should have been on the back side. I ordered this five years ago and it has been my favourite costume ,it is longer than I thought,but still cute. The only problem I had was the pinafore straps being too big . I have been Alice and with the addition of a red cloak and hood Little Red riding hood. As a plus size gal, clothes shopping can be a horrible experience. I found this website and was so excited to see that this dress had my size & bigger! The dress is perfect & very flattering. The only trouble I had was the apron was a little big in the chest, but i easily fixed that with a white string/ribbon :)Was this review helpful to you?
