Wake the Dead
You've heard the phrase, "waking up the dead," right? Normally it's the kind of thing that old folks say about parties that are too loud. But on Dia de Los Muertos, you want to throw a party so epic that it actually does wake the dead. After all, the dead have been waiting all year for the holiday, so you'd better be in the celebration spirit, because you owe the deceased nothing less.
Of course, when the Day of the Dead holiday rolls around every year, it takes more than some spooky costumes to muster up the souls of the dead. There also needs to be their favorite foods, music, activities, and anything else they liked about being alive. Which totally makes sense, because what ghost is going to go through the trouble of returning to the land of the living for a party they will just be bored at? We owe them a good time for all of that effort, and all of the creepily styled decorations, skeletons, and skull-shaped candies around the festival will make help them feel right at home! Definitely one of the better costumes I own. The material is better than your standard polyester costume. It is not as thin. The hat I received looks different that the one pictured. It is not as tall. See the attached pics. It is a stiff felt hat, not a foam or collapsible wired framed hat. Mine did arrive a little dented. This costume is not a one size fit all costume. I ordered the medium. The pants have an elastic waistband and fit me well. I'm about a size 32 waist. They were long on on me. I'm about a 30" inseam. They're probably around a 34" but not a deal breaker. The jacket fit me perfect. I'm about a 38-40 in jacket size. The cumberbund gets tied around your waist with laces. The roses are not detachable in case you're not a fan of the look. Overall a great looking costume.Was this review helpful to you?

Thought we would match this year! Suit is same fabric as the dress. Nice quality. XL works if you wear 46 coat, Pants are a bit large if you have a 38 waist and 6 feet tall, but certainly wearable/close as you see in the photo. An L coat would have been too small, so XL the better choice. Hat is half the height as the one shown and is very small but went with it. Had so much fun with these costumes!! Height 5 ft 7 inches | Weight 140 lbs | Size SmallI loved the whole red velvet concept, with roses and black formal hat. My only complaint is that I followed the chart to size it, and bought a "small". The jacket was too small, the pants too long, but the waist just right. Maybe I should have gotten the next size up, had I known how incorrect the jacket was. Size LargeReally has high hopes for this outfit. But was not high quality. The top was too small, the jacket was small and tight at the arm opening. Pros: Great costume. The pants and jacket were great. Cummerbund looked good but kept folding over.
Cons: The hat was not what is in the picture. Also, the hat did not fit.

Size X-SmallThe color is not red but closer to a dusty, muted burgundy. No big deal, the material was nice enough since it is just a costume for one night. There was hot glue everywhere. Again, not a deal breaker, just annoying.
We weren't surprised that the hat was slightly too small, I was just going to buy a different hat and swap out the flowers.
The pants would have worked.
The deal breaker was the jacket was ridiculously small. My husband's chest is 32 1/2", arm length is 23". According to the size chart the XS should have fit. It did not. I ordered a large size and the pants were ridiculously out of proportion to the jacket. The sash is the same sash whether you are buying a childs or a large mans. Same with the hat. The look and fit of the costume was perfect.. Everyone that came to our Candy distribution wanted to take photos with me... The theme for our building was The Day of the Dead with the Disney movie / Co-Co twist...

The costume arrived on time with no damage. The material and overall look is very nice. The only issue i had was Size. I had to send the Medium back and get a Large. The size table that is provided is inaccurate. I'm 5' 11", 185 lbs, 32" waist, 42" chest. The Medium jacket was tight and short on the arms. The Medium pants were tight around the waist.
