Height 5'3" | Weight 130 | Size MediumWore this dress to two costume contests and rode my horse twice in it. I got it really dirty and it came through the wash just like new! I am short waisted so I shortened the front and back straps so I didn't look too small in it. It has a really nice full skirt, lots of layers. I had a little extra room in the waist which was nice but the cuffs at the sleeves were very snug but I do have very muscular arms. Height 5'3 | Weight 120 | Size X-SmallOverall I'm happy. It was really cute for the on sale price. A couple issues with quality control though. One of the straps was twisted before being sewn on so it doesn't lay flat. It's an easy fix by cutting the string and re sewing it back on. The other was a rogue hem sewing a bottom piece to the upper skirt. Again, it's another easy fix but should have been caught in quality control. I thought the costume was great! Seemed good quality. I added red sparkly shoes and I was good to go. I ordered the XL because there was nothing available in Plus sizes. It was a bit of a gamble. Sometimes I’m an XL, sometimes I’m a 1X and honestly, I assumed that a costume would be poorer quality and probably skimpier. But I took my chances and it fit beautifully. My only complaint was that the arms were a bit snug, but I snipped the offending seam and the rest was great. I ordered 2 items and ended up cancelling one of them - and the process was awesome! I called to cancel the 1 item and received no hassles or questions, my refund was compete and very prompt, and the dress, which I did not cancel, was delivered 2 days before the scheduled delivery date. In addition, the dress fits just fine and needs no alterations and is of better quality than I was expecting. I had just 2 relatively minor issues that made the whole experience Almost Perfect instead of Perfect: The hair ribbons do not, in any way, shape or form, match the dress - 2 TOTALLY different shades of blue. Might as well not have included them, as anyone who gets this costume will still have to purchase the hair ribbons elsewhere. My 2nd issue is annoying tho easily fixable - the dress was obviously one that had been returned prior by someone else. It was easy to see that due to the crumpled condition of the cardboard packaging, the way it was folded and the packing tape used to re-seal the bag. The issue, however, was that the zipper was torn away from the dress and you can tell that the dress did not quite fit the prior person and when they forced the zipper up it tore away from the dress at a common dress stress-point. It will be easily repaired, but I would have liked HalloweenCostumes.com to have gone over the costume and made any minor repairs before shipping it out again to another customer.
