Green and Not Heard
If your upbringing was anything like ours, then your parents often quieted you with that old line, “Children should be seen and not heard.” We always took that to heart in our family. Whenever our parents told us that, we would run to the costume chest with the biggest smiles on our faces because we knew what it meant!
It meant that it was time to have a crazy costume contest! We had all kinds of wild mish-mashes, from witches with hippie hair to pirates with beautiful, sparkly, red heels. It sure was hard not to laugh when we looked around, but, of course, we did it all in perfect silence, letting our costumes do the talking for us. What fond memories. And that is how Halloweencostumes.com got started!
