We can't promise that it will be able to keep you cool in a sweltering speakeasy, since those jazz bands can get pretty hot. But a fan like this probably has all kinds of other uses. If a person wanted to take a sip of the bubbly without attracting the wrong kind of attention, for instance, this fan could probably help. Just a thought.

It is clunky when you try to collapse it, but it’s a serviceable fan for costumes and is cute. What is NOT GREAT though is that this fan straight up bleeds black dye. I noticed after about an hour of holding this fan and covering my face, that I had black dye all over my arms, chest and lower half of my face. It of course bled over a little bit into my dress as well. Soooo it’s cute, but you can bet I’m not buying something like this that needs heavy dye added to it from here ever again. This fan was perfect for the flapper costume! My friend owns a black 1934 Ford and pics were great! Fan is sturdy and feathers were soft, thick and plentiful !! I definitely highly recommend it !Was this review helpful to you?
