- Maroon velvet jacket has black velvet collar, lapels, sleeve cuffs, and false pocket flaps
- Jacket has metallic gold braid edging, metallic gold ribbon frogs on lapels
- Maroon velvet vest has high neckline, metallic gold braid edging
- Pants have elastic waistband, same fabric ties at cuffs just below knees
- Jersey knit jabot has hook and loop fastener at back of same fabric neck band

Commanding a crew of misfit pirates is no easy task, so before you commit to dressing like a pirate captain in this deluxe Captain Hook costume you should consider a few things. First, since this is a pirate crew you should be prepared to have them steal and loot at every opportunity, even the hook on your hand is not safe. Also, they are always armed so do not wander the deck of your ship without a sword or pistol at the ready. Finally, they lie about nearly everything so when they tell you you're on course you might want to check the charts yourself. Fair winds, matey.

The costume looked great! Some things that could have been improved:
1 The hat was smashed and the wire support would not let the hat go to the correct shape. Had to use safety pins to alter it.
2 The white feather type material in the hat was all over the rest of the polyester items making it difficult to clean.
3 The vest did not have a button or Velcro to close as the picture shows. This is important due to the small fabric used around the neck that adds ruffles around the chest area.Was this review helpful to you?

I'm using this for a part I play in a interactive murder-mystery-comedy show. My part is a French pirate captain and this is perfect for it. The only thing I had to do was take the vest to a local tailor as it had no means to close in the front, so the photo used by the manufacturer was a little misleading as you can see it is closed in the front. I purchased separately the mustache, and the lace wrist bands, the baldric and sword and the sash.Was this review helpful to you?

Height 6'1" | Weight 205 | Size LargeThis is the second costume I've purchased from HalloweenCostumes.com. I appreciate that the quality of these costumes is higher than expected. This costume will survive being worn multiple times, so it's great for re-use! Sizing was spot on. Out of the package, it's a little wrinkled, so do give yourself time to set it out first. The detail on the coat is wonderful - little buttons on the collar, for example. The vest is simple (just the embroidery on the front). It's very easy to mix and match this with your own clothes/other pieces as well. The costume comes with almost everything you need (only missing wig and accessories (hook, sword, etc)) at a great price. I am 185 pounds and 6 feet tall and the large (regular) fits perfectly. It is rather comfortable but is a little warm as is to be expected due to the number of layers. Height 5'9" | Weight 200lbs | Size X-LargeThis costume was very authentic and realistic looking and I received many compliments at the party I attended. A few minor improvements would make this costume a five-star rating.
1. I ordered this based on the sizing chart however the pants were still extremely large around my waist. The elastic band did not fit tight enough so I ended up having to place a belt around my waist in order to keep the pants from falling down. Would have been nice if there was a drawstring built into the fabric.
2. The vest does not stay closed in the middle of the chest as shown in the picture. A button, Velcro or clip would have been helpful.
3. The simulated boot covers were very loose even with the pants tucked into the boot they still kept falling. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality and detail! It is perfect for my daughters and I themed Halloween annual trek to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, and to wear to my brothers Halloween Themed Wedding in October. I thought the costume was made pretty nice, what I received is what is shown in the picture and what I expected. I had read through other reviews before purchasing if you did not receive all items, sorry, that was unfortunate and probably unintentional. Costume arrived before ETA. Tried it on immediately. I bought the large, I am 6'0, 200lbs. It was a perfect fit! Wished the vest had a clasp or button to keep it closed. Hat came a little off kilter.
