I would recommend the adult version Classic Plague Doctor costume for adults (XS) instead of the kids version. Another great option too would be to look at the costume sizing yips page.

Height kids' | Size MediumMy son absolutely LOVES this costume, and has worn at least part of it every day (he is 8 and has been researching the Black Death and wanted it to help him make a cure for COVID-19 as well as have a costume for the Ren Faire and Halloween). It took a little bit for him to adjust looking out of the mask, but is now fine with it. The quality, IMHO, is superior to that of the costumes we've seen in the "pop up" stores. Size SmallMy son really likes this costume and it fits him well. He is 8 and I purchased a size small. If he was not so tall and narrow, this would not have fit him. Size LargeWe love this costume. It’s well made and fun and gets lots of compliments!
My issues: the mask is very hard to see out of. There are 2 layers of black mesh and a layer of clear plastic. I get the spooky vibe but maybe less layers would be nice.
The robe is a touch long for the size - easy enough to fix.
The gloves are unusable. They are made for a doll’s hands. We had a laugh about it though!

The coat is very well made my son is skinny and the gloves were tight and he has a big head ?? so the hat was tight there was some ink on the mask but I called them and they sent me new gloves and the plague doctors kit with a different mask and a bigger hat no charge he actually likes the new mask better we order from here every year and have never been let down and customer service is amazing he went out of his way to help me get it resolved I will continue to order my son's costumes from here until he grows out of trick or treating love Halloweencostumes.comWas this review helpful to you? - Bad Quality and sizing is offBy Jordan | November 2, 2023
Size LargeI bought this costume in a large for my 8 year old; the sizing was super weird. It was very long, we ended up pining it up around her ankles, and was almost too tight around her middle. She fits in 10 clothes for kids which is a large, if I would’ve got a bigger size she would have been drowning in it. The belt did not fit. The gloves looked like they were made for a baby, she ripped them trying them on. And then two buttons came off as well. The quality of this costume was not good! The shoulders of the jacket are crooked. The gloves don't fit. The mask is ridiculous looking and the hat is flimsy and crooked. I was hoping for the price it would be better quality. The button holes for the buttons aren't even sewn. They look to just be ripped or cut into the fabric. Everything fit well except for the gloves which looked and appeared to only fit on a toddlers hand. Second issue was the mask. Size LargeCostume is good quality. Mask needs a little QC refinement, also it's tough that it comes bent. We'll see if we can reshape it-not essential but it'll look more realistic. The gloves are comically small. They are toddler gloves so that's a disappointment as now we need to purchase separately. The costume is great and fits well (ordered a size XL for my 13-yr old son). But the gloves are ridiculously small and make his fingers look like short stubs. Who are these people with 1 1/2" long fingers??Was this review helpful to you?
