This headpiece is a bit large, but I have a smaller head and no hair. It would probably fit my mom just right. Being a bit large, I can fit a thin knit cap under it, which I prefer anyway since it pads my ears. It's made of a flexible sort of rubber, stiff enough to hold its shape but not the strongest. The horns are hollow, so I stuffed them with paper to give them more strength. It forms to my head very well, laying flat on my forehead, which is the important part. It's dark grey, not quite black, and the rubber is matte while the glue they used is glossy black, so it needs a skiff of paint to even out the texture and color.
