Old fashioned fun
Most kids wish they were grown-up and could do cool grown-up things. Even though you tell them not to grow up too fast, they still long for the day that they’ll be able to earn their driver’s license, stay up as late as they want to and never go to school again. We can’t blame them, because we did the same thing at their age. We imagined what it’d be like to have joints that popped every time we stood up, and how fun it’d be when we’d have to take six different types of pills at breakfast. We eagerly imagined a day that we’d have a closet full of corduroy pants, flannel button-up shirts and sensible loafers that wouldn’t hurt our feet. We thought about how much fun it’d be to go to the doctor every single week and looked forward to eating an exciting diet of raisin bran, black licorice, prune juice and casseroles. And don’t even get us started on the thrill of qualifying for senior citizen discounts or eating an early bird dinner at the local Perkins at 4 p.m.!

If you want to help your little eight-going-on-eighty-year-old, we have the perfect costume to get her into the right mindset: this Kid’s Auntie Costume. This exclusive costume features a yellow prairie style dress with flowers, a matching bonnet and a white apron. The full-length, long-sleeve dress is made from 100 percent cotton floral print calico, with elastic at the wrists and a tie at the back of the neck. The white polyester broadcloth apron has ties at the waist for an adjustable fit. There’s also a matching calico bonnet, which has an elasticized ruffled edge and self-fabric ties under the chin.
