Design & Details

Here's how our amazing costume team designed this garment: they cocooned themselves in a room for hours, where no one heard them stir at all. Then...days, maybe months later, they emerged, holding this darling costume, fully formed! Amazing, huh? OK, so it may not have happened exactly like that, but you get the idea. This costume started from an idea and blossomed into the beautiful butterfly you see before you. Made by Us right in our studio, this look is comprised of a cuddly, zip-up black hoodie dress with attached monarch wings. Worn over her own leggings and footwear, this is a simple look that still manages to stun—kind of like your kid!

Don't worry, she'll always be your little girl, no matter how much she changes. And now that she's got this great costume for Halloween, she can be both thematic (orange and black!) and true to her nature, all at once. Win-win!
