Design & Details
A combination of materials creates this intricately designed ensemble. The jacket, adorned with antique-gold-tone buttons, offers a regular fit and a double-breasted look. It’s complemented by a faux leather belt that threads through loops, ensuring the jacket sits perfectly at the waist.
The balaclava-style hood wraps around the head and neck, leaving the face as the canvas for the iconic foam-backed faux leather costume mask, complete with mesh-covered eye openings. The costume mask’s design provides an authentic historical appearance. This ensemble is completed with forearm-length faux leather gloves and a hat with foam-backing and a wire brim, ensuring it holds its shape. A touch of elegance is added with a gold-tone metal cross on a cord necklace.

after ordering the first plague doctor costume style (and loving it) I was excited to get the new "classic style". I ordered the same size as the previous (plus size 3XL) and what arrived, did not meet the expectations set by the previous plague doctor costume...the coat itself is great, but the mask was very much smaller then the previous version (does not look like same size in photo display) it also feels like I was sent the kids version mask, or the regular adult size version (it barley covers your face) the gloves are also very much smaller than original plague doctor costume (very hard to get on hands and tight) … the balaclava-style hood was smaller and hard to fit over my head (extremely tight, very uncomfortable) … honestly the coat is the only thing that feels like the size is correct... I really do feel like I was sent the kids hood, mask, & gloves in the 3XL bag … really disappointing... luckily I still have the original version, so I should be able to mix and match the two to get something that works for me... good luck to everyone else that orders the CLASSIC PLAGUE DOCTOR costumeWas this review helpful to you? - Dark Gray Not BlackBy Current Customer | September 25, 2024
The belt is larger than the overcoat, the Velcro is too short if you want to make adjustments in sizing. The balaclava is super tight, and my face started to itch after briefly trying it on. The coat was a good size, but the material is itchy. The gloves would fit a small woman with short fingers. I bought it because the image looked like it was matte black with glossy black accessories. Gave it a 3 star. I paid over $100 on the costume, overall I'm pleased with it but feel the quality could definitely be better. The mask its self will take some modifications due to it only being held on with a single stretchy band. The gloves are for a child not a plus grown man. The belt does not fit a plus man. The white mask wasn't separated from the rest of the black material, so it was covered in markings. The mask also wasn't very sturdy. Looked really good in the photo.Was this review helpful to you?
