In all honesty, we've never been to an afterlife wedding. Not because we're too chicken to go; we've just never been invited to one, and we're too courteous to crash some ghosts' special day. If we had to guess, post-life party goers probably enjoy the same frilly decorations and fancy formal wear as the average wedding for living folks, but with a more macabre flair. Instead of the infamous Chicken Dance, dead guests probably do the Headless Chicken Dance, and we'd bet the usually delicious chocolate fountain has unsweetened chocolate flowing out of it, for a bitter surprise. On top of it all, the lacy streamers and banners are probably made of spiderwebs, and the flower bouquets and table settings are all wilted. Sounds like a wonderfully gothic wedding to us...

The fabrics for the Plus Size Red Gothic Wedding Dress are mostly lace and satin and have little to no stretch. Customers have indicated it runs true to size, but if you're between sizes I would suggest sizing up one.Q: Does anyone know how the hoop attaches to the skirt? We had this arrive today and can’t figure it out at all (1 Answer)

Height 5,5 | Weight 190 | Size 2XI was a little worried after reading the reviews about it being itchy, I did not have any problems with that. I also read some people had issues with the ring at the bottom of the, fortunately I had no issues. I opened and laid the ring out for a few days. There is an opening for you to feed the ring through, I had read someone said there was no opening. I ordered the 2x. It was a little loose, but I rather of had it too big than too small.

Height 5'3I had to replace the hoop that came with it with pex piping because it kept collapsing and did have to cut a slit to insert the hoop. But other than that it is a great costume! It is made well and is comfortable and wears well. I love that it has an actual zipper instead of those velcro patches. We won 2nd place! I absolutely love this costume! It fit very true to size. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I wish they would have offered it in a petite size. I am 5' 2" and the dress was way too long for me, at least 5" too long. Fits okay, but it is a cheap and itchy material. Was impressed with the zipper instead of Velcro. Not impressed with the hoop that likes to fold in on itself. Costume is spot on in terms of movie accuracy. The hoop goes into the last lace layer, which makes no sense. The hoop feature is poorly made and I’m not sure how it’ll work when I wear it. Height 6’0 | Weight 275I expected something of quality. Not this dress. The material is EXTREMELY CHEAP!! The lace is stiff and itchy and even though I ordered a 3X which is my normal size (other reviews said it ran big) the collar of the dress is waaaaay too small. I could not button it or get the dress to zip, the zipper caught on frayed threads from the seams. I can’t return it because the lace ripped when I attempted to try it on. The plastic hoop that inserts at the bottom is worthless. It just makes the bottom of the dress fold in on itself. Wore this costume this year and my husband and I won the costume contest! Once the package arrived I opened and hung the dress to remove wrinkles. The hoop was tricky - wrapped around 2 chairs for a few days to straighten and stretch out. Sizing is off and the dress was large. I had to alter to make it fit. The length was great. I am 5”9’ and wore a small wedge bootie with the dress about 1” off the ground.

Just as picture shows, Fast shipment, great fit ( bought a 2x) follow the sizing chart and there will be no problems with sizing. It comes with a hoop, but no instructions on how to install it. there is no hole to insert it and the hoop did not stay straight. So I didn't use the hoop, the dress looked somewhat frumpy. But this dress was perfect to go as Beetlejuice's bride. I found the dress to fit perfect just a little on the long side since I'm only 5'6" but wearing heeled boots helped that. Had no directions on how to put hoop in skirt, looked all around hem and ended up having to cut a slit to put the hoop through. But being a plus size I really did not need the hoop in the dress. Awesome costume. I purposely bought bigger because I figured costumes usually run smaller than true size. However, I should have bought my actual size...it would've been fine. I have a longer torso, so the waist is a little higher on me. That being said, it's a good quality costume and I'm not at all disappointed.
