If you don't have the taste for blood to become a Shield-maiden, you could always just set your sights on sitting on the village throne as Queen. Sure, a simple peasant might not seem like an obvious choice for ruler, but when they get a taste of your wisdom, leadership, and of course, your supreme style... they might just be calling out your name to take over for the departed Earl.
But first things first. We've got to get you into that village! So if you'd like to become a Viking Peasant who's working her way up the world's ladder, this signature costume is the choice for you. An elegant gown has a green gauze finish, and is accented with faux fur at the elbow and on the wide bell cuffs. A burnt orange tunic fits over the shoulders and is secured with lacing on the side and a sash style belt around the waist. Add the realistic looking faux fur shawl, and it will perfectly coordinate with the elegant brocade trim accents on the costume pieces. Included bead strands attach to over-sized buttons, and you can complete the look with a long haired wig if desired (sold separately). This costume is made and designed by us, and we're sure that when you go in this incredibly detailed look, you're going to be ruling the fjord in no time!

SO excited to open this and see that the quality of the materials and construction is excellent for a costume. (the only material that isn't excellent quality is the brown belt, it is the normal costume quality material, shown in top left of the first photo I have uploaded, not even sure how to describe it..but it doesn't affect the function of the belt, and since it doesn't touch my skin, I am fine with it.) I love the green fabric the most, almost imitates linen, it is very comfortable to wear. The fur is pretty and soft. The brocade trims are a really nice detail. The two large medallions on the apron are different than the photo on the model. I uploaded a photo of this, I like the replacement alright, although not as much a the medallions on the model. I love the faux leather ties on the medallions and tying up the sides of the apron tunic. It really adds a feeling of authenticity.
My only complaint on the costume is the coloring. The color of green and orange fabric is brighter/lighter than the dress on the model. This is more noticeable in the orange material. I have uploaded a photo of those materials so you can see the color difference. I would have much preferred the deeper coloring, There is almost no stretch. The ties on the sides of the apron/tunic tighten down to fit to the shape of your chest/waist (the apron part is the same shape on the back side)
One bit of advice: when trying on the apron, first untie the faux leather cord and tie it as loose as possible, then slide it on and tighten it down.Was this review helpful to you?

This dress worked out wonderfully. It's more of a lime green than the photo, and the arms were a little tight at the elbows. However, I expected a cheap gauze for the body of the dress. It was actually heavy! Great for a chilly venue, even without the wrap. The costume was made well and constructed with quality materials. I had to have the sleeves altered because they were too tight near my elbow. I received this costume on time and it fit well. Unfortunately while trying it on two of the ties broke. For the price I would expect to be able to wear at least once but now I'll have to sew and purchase additional materials to use.Was this review helpful to you?
