Showing Spirit
Just like any other ghost girl, Spookabelle had always wanted to join the cheer squad. She had all the pep and strength already, by virtue of having an undead eternity to practice, but she was still nervous when she same in front of the captain’s bench for tryouts. If she had needed oxygen, she would have taken a deep breath at that moment, before floating nebulously out into the middle of the practice floor.
Wailing and shrieking as loudly as possible in her horrific, dead screech, she saw watched her captain’s ghastly face as she called out the school’s chant. She ended it by spelling out “go ghouls” while doing a split (or, rather, while sinking slightly into the floor). As the ghostly murmurs of the from captain’s bench reached her on the wailing wind, Spookabelle could barely contain her restless spirit. The captain turned back and said to her what she had always wanted to hear: “You’ve got spirit!”
