Mission Training
SWAT team members deal with some pretty intense situations. They may be called upon to deal with a sniper, break down a door to rescue hostages, or negotiate with bad guys. They're training is incredibly thorough so that they can rise to any occasion. Maybe if you explain it to them that way, your parents will finally be ok with you practicing your battering ram skills on the back door. (But don't count on it.)
