Every year, holidays have their various lessons about what kind of spirit we should maintain. Chrismas asks us to be joyful and spread good cheer. Halloween asks us to embrace the mystery and mischief of the season. Valentine’s Day hopes that we’ll embrace friendship and love. Thanksgiving asks us to be … thankful and giving. Flag Day … is a little harder to pin down, we suppose, but it is worth recognizing when we figured out what flag would represent our country!
Of course, the problem is that we’re supposed to take those lessons throughout the year… not just celebrate those emotions for a night or two and then return to our normal selves the rest of the 364-some days! Fortunately, Halloween at least offers us a few chances to relive some of the other holiday moments because, obviously, it is the best holiday and that means the other holiday spirits want to show up to the party, too!
So, it should be no surprise that the spirit of Independence Day is one of the first to show up to the holiday Halloween bash. You can foster that spirit of American pride by stepping into the red, white, and blue with this Uncle Sam costume. Sing your favorite verses of Yankee Doodle in this blue cutaway tailcoat jacket with red and white striped lapels and decorative stars throughout. The streamer pants and bow tie both feature the red and white stripe look and the billowing top hat will be like the flag has knighted you its agent of freedom. I was impressed with all of the pieces that this costume came with. All I needed was a bottle of hair spray and my costume was complete. The material of the pants is very thin, and very see-through. I had to buy white boxers so that you couldn't see right through the pants. The jacket was great, as was the hat. When the hat came in I put a rolled up towel inside it to puff it up since it was really flat from packaging. I would definitely buy this again, and I can't wait to wear it for 4th of July!Was this review helpful to you?

Height 6ft | Weight 240It does not come with white gloves. The hat is only okay could be of better quality I would order the other hat on this website to go with it it's much better. I will include a picture of me wearing it with white gloves and the other hat that is on this website pretty good for the most part take it out of the package and iron the jacket and hat Brim put a little cardboard inside the hat to make it stand up and you're good to go, the second photo is with the other hat on this website it's of much better quality.Was this review helpful to you?

Height 6' | Weight 220Not exactly like the picture. The hat will not stay up, keeps flopping to the side. Next time I'll put an inflated balloon inside and hope it doesn't pop! The jacket lapels are different than the picture. They're narrower and tend to fall forward at the top tip. We had to sew them to the jacket (just a tack). The jacket material is thinner but it fit well. The jacket from the other style Uncle Sam was much better quality only ran way too small. The pants have a small elastic string-like in the waist. We added a small cumberbund to give the waist a finished look. The material isn't very light. The costume fit well and had give, so it would fit someone slightly larger or smaller. Was the hit of the night! Height 5'9" | Weight 175 | Size MediumYet another costume we bought from HalloweenCostumes.com that we were so pleased with! Great price and not cheap looking like the other Uncle Sam costumes online. We also bought the wig and beard. Just needed to add some plastic shopping bags inside the hat so it would stand upright and a white t shirt. Everyone loved it on the 4th!!
