Height 5'8 | Size 7XThe costume looked great. I wasn't fond of the wig, but I made it work. The mesh shirt was short, but the corset covered it up. I was worried about the costume being too small so I ordered a size up; I shouldn't have done that. I pinned the corset with safety pins and it stayed in place. I had to tie the purple fabric up because it was very long coming from under the tentacles. Overall, it was a big hit. This was by far my favorite costume from all of the ones I have worn in the past.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.Was this review helpful to you?

Height 5’9 | Weight 235 | Size 2XThis is a beautiful costume. I almost sized up, but I’m glad I didn’t. I am a size 18-20, 44DD, 235lbs. I ordered a 2X and it fit very well. My only real issue is the corset top and the snap buttons on the skirt. The top is not very sturdy as you’d expect a corset to be. It’s very flimsy and doesn’t want to stay up over the mesh top. The cups are also fairly small and barely cover my boobs. I’m sure I can use safety pins as another review suggested and it should be fine though. The skirt snaps in the back with two buttons, but it slides on easily even without unclasping them. The problem is when you bend slightly at the waist the buttons snap open. I plan on wearing shorts underneath so it’s not a huge deal, but it’s rather annoying. You can tell the wig is fairly cheaply made, but mine is in perfect shape with the hair pointing upwards as it should and I currently have it in a rubber band to ensure the hair stays in place until I need to wear it. My last real nitpick is with the packaging. It came in a huge box and I used scissors to cut the tape, but the costume itself is not in any type of packaging inside the box and I nicked the mesh shirt so it now has a small cut on the sleeve. It’s barely noticeable so I’m not worried about it, but it may be something to consider when shipping costumes, especially at the price we are paying.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.Was this review helpful to you?

I would say this fits as labeled. My only issue is the purple long sleeve mesh type shirt, it was to short for me personally BUT that happens alot with shirts on my (I carry a lot of my weight in my stomach) The corset was long enough to cover so you couldn't tell the undershirt was to short.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.Was this review helpful to you?

I bought this for myself (4x) for a brief performance for my students in my Musical Theatre class. It looked great and was easy to slip on between class periods. Everyone oooo'ed and ahhh'ed over it! The skirt is delightful and fit perfectly. The bustier was easy to put on and also fit well, but the bra cups were very small. The mesh shirt was really a crop top. I wish it had been longer, but the bustier covers it, so no worries. The wig, however, left a lot to be desired. The sides flopped down immediately, so I had to do major reconstruction with Bobby pins and spray glue. The wig is also far too small for an average adult head and has no trailing pieces to cover your sideburns or neck hair. Overall, however, this is a quality costume with excellent construction and fit. It's well worth the price.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.Was this review helpful to you?

I love this costume but it is not without challenges. The elastic waistband is not strong enough to keep the lower half up. The upper corset has no structure and is difficult to keep in place.
