Is there anything better than watching vintage movies? The damsels in those movies could get away with some seriously dramatic moves. Slinking into the room while wrapped in a fur just doesn't seem at home in blockbusters anymore. And when female characters get bad news, they almost never faint either. Of course, we're glad that female characters have come along and become stronger and more sensible. But it's so much fun to revisit those films. What we need to do is take on that 30's and 40's persona from a strong female perspective. Become a smart Army general with a trans-Atlantic accent, stunning retro style, and maybe throw in a little cat-eye as well. While we wouldn't suggest plucking your eyebrows as much as those actresses did back in the day, we're pretty sure you'll do a fabulous job donning this retro style, dahling!
Design & Details
This lovely Made by Us, fit and flare dress is an instant sassy hit. The army green look has gold buttons securing down the front as well as gold buttons on the button flaps and collar. A sash ties around the waist, slipping through belt loops. You'll find the little details like the embroidered gold stars and faux pockets add plenty of charm to your look. Height 5’2” | Weight 260 | Size 3XMy hubby dressed in the Top Gun costume so I wanted to try & match with him so I found this outfit. I’m a plus size so I had to order the largest size which was a 3X. I really wish they make costume sizes to 4X. The 3X size is small so the bust area was really tight and the small buttons would not stay closed. I had to sew the button holes closed on the top part of the outfit and just put it on over my head and pull down the dress. At least the buttons stayed closed in the skirt part. It was frustrating but at least I made the costume work for me.Was this review helpful to you?

I ordered this costume according to the size chart and when I got it was a bit small. I ended up wearing something under because it wouldn’t button all the way. Height 200 | Weight 200 | Size 2XI got a 1X the first time but was right around the bust so I had to return it, but return was super easy and convenient! Got the 2X and fits perfect!
