His favorite costume of all time was his attempt at a Clint Eastwood “Man with No Name.” He found out that ponchos aren’t just good for the dusty West, but come in handy in the cold of a Minnesota October. Rebel Starfighters & Imperial Crafts: The Ships of Star Wars: Rogue Squadron

When Disney acquired Lucasfilm, and in effect, the entirety of the Star Wars universe, it quickly went about consolidating the enormous number of canon and non-canon stories. What was known as the Extended Universe (EU), featuring books, comics, and other media based on the Star Wars universe, was re-categorized as “Legends." The official Star Wars canon was narrowed down to the six official films, the Clone Wars and Rebels cartoons, and some new illustrated and written media. Of all the EU media delegated to Legends status, none was more loved and admired by the fandom than the stories surrounding the famous starfighter squadron led by Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles.

Ten Dollar Bill Costume

To coincide with the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment (which allowed women the right to vote), the United States Treasury has announced that in 2020 they will unveil a newly designed $10 bill with a woman front and center. While many had petitioned for the $20 note as the bill of choice to be redesigned, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew clarified that it was more an issue of currency security than the politics of Andrew Jackson and Alexander Hamilton. Opening up the discussion to the public, Lew has stated that the only qualification for the woman on the bill is someone “who was a champion for our inclusive democracy.”

With this easy and affordable $10 bill costume DIY, you can be that woman! Show your pride for democracy, capitalism, and dolla dolla bills with this fun DIY that puts your face on the tenner. Add your name to the prestigious list of candidates such as Susan B. Anthony, Betty Friedan, Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman, and Eleanor Roosevelt. Halo-Infographic-HEADER.png

The best video games immerse the player in the action, taking them to a fantastic world of escape and entertainment. Game designers have plenty of tricks they can use to achieve this, but none are more effective than a nameless, faceless, and mostly silent narrator. DIY Splatoon Inklings Costumes

by |October 10, 2015

The squid kids are on the offensive! Believe it or not, the hottest video game of 2015 doesn’t involve grand theft, realistic war scenarios, or zombies. Instead, it features a group of colorfully attired half human, half squid children known as Inklings. Long story short, some 12,000 years after the effects of global warming covered the Earth in water, squid and octopi have evolved into human-like forms and began fighting over territory using modified weapons that shoot colored ink. Being a Nintendo game, characters don’t die, they just get “splatted.” Also, there is no red ink, because that would look too similar to blood.

Splatoon is a fun, addictive, multiplayer game that both children and adults have embraced. With the bright colors, cool costumes, and fun game modes, Splatoon is a huge hit for Nintendo and looks to be a franchise that will be around for a long time to come. Creating a custom Inkling costume is relatively easy. We’ve put together both an Inkling boy and Inkling girl costume using a few simple costume items and accessories. Take a look at how you can easily and affordably dress up as a sassy Splatoon kid this Halloween or convention season with our...

When the slasher genre started to really hit the mainstream around the mid-80s, there was a lot of outcry about its depiction of women. It is true that with so many slasher films flooding the market, more than a few fell into the trap of scantily clad, personality-less women running and stumbling, being murdered in the dark....
