Easy Halloween Treats and Drinks

Do you love to go all out for Halloween? Between the costumes, decorating, and playlist-making, there are many things to do. Another beloved Halloween pastime is making fun Halloween foods. Whether it's for the kids or a Halloween get-together, making Halloween recipes is a blast! We'll share some of our favorite Halloween treats and drinks to help everyone get in the spooky spirit.

Halloween Mains

1. Mummy Pigs in a Blanket

Mummy Pigs in a Blanket

Mummy pigs in a blanket are a classic Halloween food that's incredibly easy to make! They're a hit with kids, but they would also work at an adult Halloween party, just so you have a few less sugary options. You can also turn this main into a side by swapping hot dogs for cocktail weiners.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package hot dogs
  • 1 tube crescent roll dough
  • 1 package candy eyeballs
  • Yellow mustard
  • Dipping sauce of your choice

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Add hot dogs to pot of boiling water until warmed through, about 5 minutes.
  3. Tear crescent dough triangles apart and lay out on flat surface. Cut into strips with knife or pizza cutter.
  4. Wrap crescent roll strips around hot dogs so they look like little mummies. Leave space near top for eyes.
  5. Bake until crescent roll dough is golden brown, about 10 minutes.
  6. Allow mummies to cool before attaching candy eyeballs with dots of mustard. Serve with dipping sauce.

2. Ghost Pizza

Ghost Pizza

There are a few ways to go about making a ghost pizza. You can add ghosts on top of a premade or homemade pizza, as we'll show. Or, if making a pizza from scratch, you can shape the entire pizza into a ghost and top with mozzarella and white cheddar! Ghost pizza is a great Halloween party food for all ages.

Ingredients:

  • 1 premade frozen pizza
  • 1 package sliced white cheddar cheese
  • 1 can sliced and pitted black olives

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven according to directions on pizza package.
  2. With ghost-shaped cookie cutter or knife, cut ghost shapes from slices of white cheddar. Place on pizza.
  3. Place slices of black olives on ghosts to use as eyes.
  4. Bake pizza according to directions on package.
  5. Watch pizza and remove from oven before ghosts have browned. Slice and serve.

3. Monster Toast

Monster Toast

Are you looking for a Halloween breakfast food? This monster-riffic twist on eggs in the basket is tons of fun, especially for the kids. (And it's relatively easy, too!) We highly recommend visiting the bakery section of your store to find loaves with large slices, like a nice sourdough or Italian bread. Of course, you can still do this with regular sandwich bread, too, but your monsters will be smaller.

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of bread (larger-sliced bread preferred)
  • 1 carton of eggs
  • Butter
  • Salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Preheat skillet on medium heat.
  2. Cut a simple monster shape from bread slice with knife.
  3. Using a round cookie cutter, glass, or knife, make an "eye hole" near the top of bread slice. Under the eye hole, cut a mouth.
  4. Butter both sides of bread and place in warmed skillet.
  5. Add a small knob of butter into the eye hole and allow it to melt, then add your egg.
  6. When egg is well set, flip with spatula.
  7. When egg is cooked as desired, plate and add salt and pepper to taste.

4. Spider Sliders

Slider burgers are another great party food idea, so why not add a Halloween twist? It's easy enough to make these spider sliders as simple or as boujee as you want—it just depends on how much prep work and cooking you want to do. We'll opt for a simpler approach with this Halloween recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 package cheddar cheese (sliced or unsliced to preference)
  • 1 package slider buns
  • 1 bag frozen fries
  • 1 jar green olives with pimentos
  • (Optional) sauce, pickles, or other toppings of your choice

Directions:

  1. Make fries according to package directions, and set aside.
  2. Preheat grill.
  3. Whisk egg with salt and pepper.
  4. Add ground beef and knead to incorporate.
  5. Form meat mixture into slider patties and place on grill.
  6. Grill patties until they hit an internal temperature of 160 degrees F.
  7. Place cheese on patties and let sit on grill for a few minutes until cheese starts to melt.
  8. Remove patties from grill, put on bottom buns.
  9. Press 4 fries into cheese on either side of patty, then add top buns.
  10. Cut green pimento olives in half, press into cheese to create eyes, tuck under top bun.
  11. (Optional) Add sauce of your choice or pickles.

Halloween Sides

5. Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Not every Halloween food needs to be super scary! Pumpkins are a big deal around Halloween, and this simple pumpkin fluff dip whips up in no time. This is a perfect side to serve at an adult Halloween party, but even kids might venture to try this one with the right combination of dipping snacks.

  • 1 box of pretzel mix (may need additional ingredients indicated on the package)
  • Dipping sauce of preference

Directions:

  1. Follow directions on pretzel mix to make pretzel dough.

Halloween Treats

9. Pumpkin S'mores Cookies

Pumpkin S'mores Cookies

Nothing feels more like fall than pumpkin-flavored goodies and s'mores by the campfire. One incredibly yummy cookie captures both of these flavors at once! We also love how convenient cookies are because you can have them prepared well in advance, so you're not scrambling to get all your Halloween foods together before your guests arrive.

  • 1 teaspoon salt

Halloween Drinks

13. Witch's Brew

Witch's Brew

Who doesn't love a versatile party punch? This witchy-green beverage is a wonderfully flexible option for adult or kids' parties, with the addition or omission of alcohol. If you're turning this punch into an alcoholic beverage, you have some room to experiment with vodka flavors if you want something besides plain vodka. For an extra witchy twist, serve from a cauldron instead of a punch bowl! (Make sure to sanitize it properly first.)

Ingredients:

  • 1 package lime gelatin (0.6oz)
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 3 cups pineapple juice, chilled
  • 1 bottle ginger ale or lemon-lime soda (2 liters)
  • (Optional) 2-3 cups vodka, chilled (plain or flavor of choice)

Directions:

  1. Pour gelatin powder into large bowl and slowly add boiling water while stirring. Make sure gelatin powder dissolves completely for at least 2 minutes.
  2. Add remaining liquids to bowl and stir to incorporate. The vodka is optional.
  3. Chill and serve in a large punch bowl or cauldron.

14. Vampire Punch

Vampire Punch

This blood-red punch has vampire vibes. We also love that you can make this punch with or without alcohol, depending on the party you're serving. Optionally, you can drip grenadine syrup or red gel icing around the punch bowl or the serving glasses to bring out the vampire vibes.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups blood orange juice
  • 2 cups water, cold
  • 1 cup tart cherry juice
  • 1 cup simple syrup
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice (about 2-3 lemons)
  • (Optional) 1 cup tequila or mezcal
  • (Optional) grenadine syrup or red gel icing

Directions:

  1. In a large pitcher, combine blood orange juice, tart cherry juice, water, lemon juice, and simple syrup.
  2. Chill in fridge until it's time to serve.

Ghost Milkshakes

Ghost milkshakes are a fun and cute way to enjoy a tasty Halloween beverage. Of course, it will be up to you to add the ghostly elements to your drinking vessels! • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate (grated bar or white chocolate chips)

  2. Pour into ghost-decorated glasses.
  3. (Optional) Garnish with whipped cream.
