Junie B. Jones is Juniper Beatrice Jones, an almost 6-year-old girl starting her first year of kindergarten. (She goes by Junie B. Because she doesn't like the name Beatrice.) Junie has a wild imagination and a playful personality, although she can sometimes be disruptive due to her own excitement. She is often dressed in skirts and button-up cardigans with a cute hair bow. The outfit that kids and teachers usually wear as a book character costume consists of a pink cardigan sweater, a purple skirt, and a pink or yellow hair bow with black ballet flats or Mary Janes.
