Any good costume party has plenty of options for guests to wear. With over 1000 Pokémon and tons of characters, there's no shortage of ideas for Pokémon costumes for kids and adults! Dress as the mascot Pikachu and his trusty trainer, Ash, or chill as a villain in a Team Rocket costume. There are also plenty of cozy Pokémon kigurumis so that you can feel as comfortable as Snorlax.

2. Pokémon Party Decorations

Pokémon Party Decorations

When choosing decorations for your Pokémon party, you might find it helpful to pick a theme to get you started. Perhaps choose your favorite generation of games, such as Red, Blue, and Yellow or Silver, Gold, and Crystal. Or, what about Pokéball colors or the colors of your favorite Pokémon? Then, you need balloons, streamers, tablecloths, and other items in your chosen colors. Don't forget to find a few licensed Pokémon decorations to make your party pop!

3. Pokémon Party Food and Drinks

Onigiri

From the anime to the games, there's tons of inspiration for Pokémon party food. Does anyone remember the onigiri they snacked on, dubbed "jelly donuts" by American media? What about all the berries you could collect in the games? There are also plenty of food-related Pokémon like Vanillish, Appleton, Alcremie, and others, and the ability to make food in Pokémon Sword and Shield allows for a vast spread. Of course, we won't forget about the drinks! The Pokémon games introduced drinks like soda, moo moo milk, and fresh lemonade. And adult parties can get creative with colorful Pokémon cocktails.

4. Pokémon Music

Video Game Music

You might be surprised to know that you have quite a few options for music when hosting a Pokémon party. The games have plenty of video game music, from calming music while exploring cities and the outdoors to epic battle music throughout the entire franchise. The Pokémon anime series also has lots to offer, from the classic Pokémon theme song to the "PokéRap" and other songs to discover. You can find pre-made playlists or create your own for the perfect match for your Pokémon party.

5. Pokémon Party Activities

Kids Coloring

What are your favorite birthday party activities? Chances are, there's a way to make it Pokémon-style! Print off Pokémon coloring sheets or have a custom Pokémon design contest. Watch Pokémon movies and anime episodes. Have a Pokémon-themed race. Play Pokémon games. The list could go on! We're also sure that adult audiences can find plenty of Pokémon drinking games to play with friends.
