Robin Williams played a grown-up Peter Pan in 1991's Hook. Now a jaded lawyer, he didn't realize he had lost his happiness. Only after he returns to Neverland and regains his memories does Peter Pan become his old self once again, filled with confidence and joy. He rescues his children from the pirates, defeats Captain Hook, and finds renewed zeal for life. "To live will be an awfully big adventure!"

90s kids will probably remember Genie as one of their favorite Robin Williams characters of all time. While it's one of several animated roles for Robin Williams, his vocal skills were used to their full potential as Aladdin's genie. Genie has incredible powers that allow him to do practically anything, such as changing his shape and size, summoning creatures and objects at will, and so much more. It only made sense to cast a voice actor with an equally impressive range!

Popeye was only the second film of Robin Williams' career. While the comic character is often seen wearing a black or navy blue shirt, Robin Williams' Popeye wore a white shirt with a navy collar. To finish this costume, swap the white pants for your favorite pair of jeans. You can also turn this Robin Williams costume into a couple's costume by adding someone as your Olive Oyl!

4. Jumanji Costume

Do you think you could survive Jumanji? Robin Williams played Alan Parrish, a man trapped in the Jumanji board game for twenty-six years. The kids were lucky they brought him back because he knew how to survive many of the game's dangers! There will be some DIY involved in turning a Barney Rubble costume into a Jumanji costume, but luckily, you can follow along with these DIY Robin Williams costumes.

Robin Williams played Theodore Roosevelt in Night at the Museum, or more accurately, a wax replica of the former US President. He is one of many displays that come to life overnight at the American Museum of Natural History. As it turns out, this is all thanks to the Golden Tablet of Pharaoh Ahkmenrah, an Ancient Egyptian artifact that made its way to the museum in 1952. Teddy Roosevelt is one character who helps Larry, the night security guard, in his duties.

6. Flubber Costume

In the movie Flubber, Robin Williams plays Philip Brainard, a bumbling professor who creates a sentient blob of green goop called "Flubber". To create your own Flubber costume, you'll need to have a white dress shirt and a bow tie and vest. Robin Williams also wears a brown apron during the film when he's creating Flubber. Add round glasses and dress shoes, and you'll look like our beloved absent-minded professor. Don't forget some green goop!

Patch Adams may not be Robin Williams' best film, but the character is recognizable and makes an incredibly easy Halloween costume. The key elements for this Robin Williams costume are a lab coat, stethoscope, and clown nose. After that, just wear a button-up shirt and pants under your lab coat. You'll be ready to make people feel better in no time!

Another film that showcased Robin Williams' incredible vocal talent was Good Morning, Vietnam. Robin Williams played a fast-talking Armed Forces Radio Service DJ loosely based on Adrian Cronauer. He delivered humor and news to his fellow soldiers, helping to lift their spirits during a brutal war. You need an army-green shirt and a pair of old headphones to pull off this Robin Williams costume. Don't forget to repeat his iconic phrase, "Good morning, Vietnam!"

9. Ramon Costume

Robin Williams actually voices two penguins in Happy Feet—rockhopper penguin Lovelace and the mohawked Ramon. A Ramon costume is relatively easy to DIY with the correct elements. We recommend this unisex penguin onesie as your costume base. Then, cut the mohawk from the skeleton biker mask and attach it to the head of your penguin costume hood. You may wish to color the hair brown to match Ramon more accurately.

10. Man of the Year Costume

You can recreate this iconic look with a George Washington costume paired with a similar wig. Just in case people assume you're merely dressing as George Washington, have your DVD copy of Man of the Year ready as a costume prop.
